January Report
The whiting fishing at the start of the month has been some of the best I’ve ever seen. The size and quantity of the fish, around the 3-4lb mark! They are aggressive little fish that put up a good fight on light gear and are also great for the table! The marks aren’t far from home, just a couple of miles from Swanage. As well as the whiting, there are plenty of other species to keep the rods bending! Lots of Ray’s, congers and a few big bonus pollack and even a coalfish which is a very rare fish for me. Through February weather permitting, we will be heading out to some banks a few miles south of Swanage targeting spur dogs and big blonde Ray’s . Look forward to seeing you on board soon!
